Sculptor Teena Stern began her career as a professional dancer. She graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University and toured for 11 years with the Carl Ratcliff Dance Theatre. Upon her retirement from dance in 1981, Teena pursued her interest in sculpture, studying in Washington, D.C., New York, and Italy. Her sculptures can be found in collections throughout the United States, including public commissions for Life of Georgia, The Carter Presidential Center, and the Woodruff Art Center.

She currently resides in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
