Edmond Fitzgerald was born in Seattle in 1912. He studied art at the California School of Fine Arts and with Mark Tobey and Eustace Ziegler. Fitzgerald served 26 years in the United States Naval Reserve and has had numerous combat art assignments. He is a past president of the Allied Artist of America and the American Watercolor Society. Also, he is a member of the Salmagundi Club, The Artist’s Fellowship, the National Society of Mural Painters and the Cincinnati Art Club. He died in Cincinnati in 1989.
