Frederick Stone Batcheller (1837–1889) was an American painter best known for his finely detailed still lifes featuring fruit, flowers, and everyday objects. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and was associated with the Providence Art Club. Batcheller developed a reputation for meticulous draftsmanship and a refined sense of composition, often working in a realistic style that reflected both academic training and personal observation.
