Thomas W. Lorimer fell in love with the west in his childhood, his father “Cowboyed” in Montana and stories of his adventures sparked a deep life long romance with all things “western.” Growing up in the Midwest and having a gift for drawing and painting he attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and worked for a few years in commercial art. Then realizing he needed more and better training, Lorimer went west to California and enrolled in and graduated from The Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He was blessed there to have several great instructors who encouraged him into fine art. He began painting from his graduation on and never looked back. The west was his subject, everything from figure, landscape, cowboy, Indian, to historical.  Thomas has had a long and rich relationship with Montana, which became a second home for him. "I grew up playing Cowboys and Indians and western art and Montana have let me continue to play." He lived in the beautiful red rock country of Sedona Arizona. “Western Art is a truly original American art form, and I am proud to be a part of it."
