Thomas W. Lorimer has been in love with the West since childhood, his father cowboyed in Montana, and stories of his adventures sparked a deep life long romance with the West. Growing up in the Midwest and having a gift for drawing and painting he attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and worked for a few years in commercial art. Then realizing he needed more and better training went west to California and enrolled in and graduated from The Art Center College of Design in Los Angles. He was blessed there to have several great instructors who encouraged him into fine art. He began painting from graduation and never looked back. And the West has been his subject, taking in everything from figure, landscape, cowboy, indian, to historical. Thomas has had a long and rich relationship with Montana, which has become a second home for him. "I grew up playing Cowboys and Indians and western art and Montana have let me continue to play." At the moment he makes his home in the beautiful red rock country of Sedona Arizona. Printing by Thomas are featured in shows, and print, and in prominent art collection through out the country. " Western Art is a truly an original American art form, and I am proud to be a part of it."
